Year 4 Viking Day 2025

We took a closer look at the key events that occurred during the Saxon/Viking period in History. It was interesting to see how many changes occurred! We also worked in groups to identify the use of this object and discovered it was a lucet - a tool used in cordmaking or braiding.  We made bracelets out of wool using a lucet. It was quite fiddly, but once you get the hang of it, it’s great fun! All of the labels and descriptions were muddled for the artefacts. We spent time matching them together and looked through what each artefact was and what it tells us about the past.
